How do you promote productivity amongst agents? As much as we’d like to believe that doing the job, doing it well, and knowing that by doing so you’re helping people is enough incentive, the reality is that agents want more.
In a large contact center, it’s easy for individual agents to get lost in the masses – which is why step number one to ensure agent contentment, continued productivity and retention is creating a boutique atmosphere with a limited number of seats. For example, having 2 locations with less than 200 seats is better than one location with 400+.
Do you hold contests in your center? What about community activity days? These simple things will allow agents to interact with others in the contact center, including floor managers, human resources, marketing and business development. In short, it will help them see the larger picture that this is a business, it is a business of serving people, and that other employees in the company recognize the hard work agents put in to their jobs in order for the rest of the company to thrive.
Another favorite way to promote productivity is to recognize a job well done. What does your contact center do when it receives a thank-you for a job well done by an agent, from either the customer who called in, or the client who was represented on the call? Hopefully, you forward that message on to the entire team! “Hey everyone, look at the amazing job Sue did today and the thanks we received. Well done Sue – keep up the good work!” Wouldn’t you like it if every time your boss thought you did something well, he/she emailed the entire company telling them of your achievement? Thought so.
These are just a few of my favorite ways of promoting agent productivity. If you have any others, I’d love to hear them!
This article really resonated with me. If there’s one thing today’s call-center managers are likely to lose sleep over, it’s how to boost agent productivity. After all, you can save money by using technologies like VoIP, but the majority of contact-center costs lie in recruiting and retaining employees. As a result, any increase in their productivity can greatly enhance the return on investment. -Yolanda

Agent empowerment can be a huge productivity booster. If trained properly and armed with the right job skills, there’s no reason for agents to constantly seek assistance from their superiors. Encouraging top-notch agents to take matters into their own hands, directly address customer concerns and take ownership of their job responsibilities is a surefire way to bolster work force morale, as well as productivity levels.

If you’re a regular reader or have attended any of my webcasts or live seminars you probably know of my passion for the technology now known as “scan and populate” --- I term I coined back in 2006 when the concept was first being developed.

Remember that food is fuel. And breakfast is the most important fuel of the day. If your first meal is full of nutrient dense calories, it gives your brain and body the what it needs to have a productive morning and will positively effect your energy levels, mental clarity, and ability to make other good food choices throughout the rest of your day. And if the meal is processed, has sugar, is too high in carbohydrates, or is non-existent, your body and brain are being shortchanged before your day has even begun!

He hit it on the head: once a company has raised a decent amount of money (say for argument's sake $15M), investors may feel jittery and start fantasizing about a "really senior CFO" who can "take the company all the way" (meaning usually IPO or exit) but more importantly who can be a "good steward" of all the money they have put in. Whether that is the right thing for the business is a different matter.

I laughed with delight at the ad campaign when I spotted it yesterday. Not my style, but totally get what he was going for, and thought there were some interesting fashion ideas that I wouldn't expect from this line. The campaign (some images more than others) remind me of Kate Spade ad campaigns of past. Remember the one with the preppy NYC girl visited by her preppy family? This feels similar but a bit off. Though I did post the intro image with the jeep full of stuff on my wall. Thanks for sharing!

While I haven't removed my mouse from my desk just yet, it's easy to only use the Magic Trackpad with no need for the mouse whatsoever. The most difficult adjustment has been getting used to not having to pick up and move a device in order to navigate. The Trackpad blends in perfectly with my iMac and bluetooth keyboard and looks much better on my desk while offering a simple, elegant, efficient interface tool that requires little space. It's a great idea that has been executed well. The touch movements are easy to master and it has a proper tactile feel via the finger friction and integrated buttons that (built into the feet on the bottom of the Trackpad) provide clickable feedback for those who don't want to simply tap the Trackpad.

I had a desire to make my business, but I did not earn enough of cash to do this. Thank heaven my mate suggested to utilize the mortgage loans. Hence I took the consolidation loans and made real my old dream.
